Design planning
Draw a sketch according to the needs, determine the size, internal structure and leather type (such as Italian vegetable tanned leather, with top-layer cowhide to enhance durability).
Material processing
Leather cutting: Cut the main body and shoulder strap leather according to the sketch size, thin the edges and wrap the edges to improve the feel;
Punching: Punch holes evenly along the edge to ensure neat stitching.
Stitching assembly
Sew the inner pocket, main body and shoulder strap in steps, focusing on strengthening the load-bearing parts;
Use double-layer leather to overlap and sew, and design a partition bag inside to improve practicality.
2. Making a crochet tote bag (reference)
Basic tools and materials
Crochet hook (3.5mm or 7mm), wide grass thread or hand-mixed thread (about 250g), hollow cotton (for straps);
Felt cloth is recommended for the liner (reference size: 21cm long × 10cm wide × 15cm high).
Bag body and bottom hook method
Bag bottom: 71 stitches, 12 rows of short stitches in the reverse two-turn hook, and add stitches at the four corners;
Bag body: Loop short stitches or rib stitches (V flower or rib texture), the height can be adjusted according to needs (such as 20cm or 26cm).
Bag strap and stitching
Crochet threaded strap (6 stitches, 4.5mm crochet hook), or use semi-finished shoulder straps (50-64cm);
